About The Wine Boutique

The Wine Boutique was founded in 1992 with the goal of "Bringing the Wine Country to Madison."  We created the store to offer a unique wine selection and friendly, knowledgeable service in a “boutique” setting .   Owner Kelly Gilboy is constantly networking with wine-makers and importers from around the world to bring you specialty offerings and highly coveted vintages.

In addition to an extensive selection of international, domestic and even
local wines, The Wine Boutique offers the community a
wide range of in-store activities.  

• Daily wine samplings – something we’ve just discovered is always open for you to taste!

• Thursday Night Flight Nights – stop in and taste something new at our Weekly Tastings - every Thursday from 5pm – 7pm.

• Formal & Informal Wine Dinners – we are always partnering with local restaurants to combine great food, great wine, fun and education.   Stay tuned for future Special Events!

Renee Kolz:

Hi, I've been working part time at The Wine Boutique since the fall of 2004. I'm a pastry chef at a hotel in town and became interested in wine during culinary school. The wine and spirits class was fairly intense and involved tasting seven different wines every other class. I was intrigued how each variety of grape has different attributes depending on the soil, location, weather and so much more. I have been passionate about wine ever since. Working at The Wine Boutique has been a great opportunity to try many wines with the Thursday night flight tastings. We also always have a bottle of wine open anytime during the week. I truly believe the best way of learning more about wine is to continue to taste and try new and different wines. Hope to see you on your next visit. Cheers!
